There is just one month left in this year, but 2014 is not over yet. There are still many opportunities to worship and serve left in this final month. Let’s be busy, active, and “always abounding in the work of the Lord” (1 Cor. 15:58). It will be a very busy month, filled with
activities involving family, church, and community, but let us keep our heart, body, and soul on serving God.
In December, our planned sermons will focus on Jesus. “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, sweetest name I know.” After a week of preaching in a gospel meeting in Wewoka, Oklahoma, I will begin a series of lessons on that lofty theme. Sunday morning, December 14, I plan, “When Jesus Was Born.” That night we will look at “When Jesus Was Two.” On the next Sunday, the 21st, we hope to have, “When Jesus Was Twelve” and that night, “When Jesus Was Thirty.” The final lesson in the series of five will be given on Sunday morning, December 28, and titled, “When Jesus Was Thirty-Three.” I hope you can be assembled before God with us for this examination of the word of God and the life of Christ.
You all have been so gracious and good to encourage me in the preaching of the gospel. I am grateful for the kind words. Your questions, comments, and reviews of sermon points indicate your interest and attention, and they strengthen me. Thank you.
