Pharisees, with what do you reproach Jesus? “He eats with sinners” (Luke 5:30).
And you, Caiphas, what have you to say of Him? “He is a blasphemer, because He said,
‘…from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on
the clouds of heaven” (Matt. 26:64, 65).
Pilate, what is your opinion? “I find no guilt in him” (John 19:4).
And you, Judas, who have sold your Master for silver, have you some fearful charge to
hurl? “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood” (Matt. 27:4).
Centurion and soldiers, who led Him to the cross, what have you to say against Him?
“Truly this was the Son of God” (Matt. 27:54).
And you, demons? “He is Jesus, Son of the Most High God” (Mark 5:7).
John the Baptist, what do you think of Jesus? “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes
away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29).
Peter, what do you say about Jesus? “He is the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matt.
16:16).
Thomas? “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28).
And, Father in Heaven, Who knows all things, what do You say? “This is my beloved
Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him” (Matt. 17:5).
